A newspaper cutting of 4 January 1873 containing two advertisements (in Chinese) from 1) La-shih-li Co., regarding shipping insurance, dated on the 6th day, 6th month, 11th year of Tongzhi's (T'ung-chih) reign (1 July 1872), and 2) Ch'an-shen (Chanshen) Co., regarding fire insurance, dated on the 6th day, 12th month, 11th year of Tongzhi's reign. On the reverse are English notes in pencil regarding Mr William Laage (?) and Paul Sittig Esq. of San Francisco.
Agreement and bond for building work, 29 July 1859
A memorandum of agreement between Jardine, Matheson & Co. and Yan Lee for the construction of a sea wall, pier, godowns, treasury and other buildings, witnessed by Thomas Larkins Walker, architect, with a related bond of $10,000 from Tam-Acheoy to Jardine, Matheson & Co. The documents are in Chinese and English, and are probably from Hong Kong.

An agreement between Jardine, Matheson & Co. of Hong Kong and Acheong and Hung-Hee of Hong Kong, builders, for the latter to construct a dwelling house for the company on a plot at East Point, Hong Kong, and to make additions to the existing out-houses, 26 September 1860. The document is in English, with a Chinese translation in the margin.
Agreement of Jardine Matheson and Kim-mo-hop, 1860-1862
An agreement between Thomas Sullivan, agent for Jardine, Matheson & Co. of Hong Kong, and Kim-mo-hop, merchant and resident at Tywanfoo, for the latter to supply the company with camphor, dated Takaw, Formosa, 7 March 1860 (two copies). There is also a document in Chinese extending this agreement for an indefinite period, dated Formosa, September 1862.
